UI/UX design

Sitemaps are diagrams in a specific order that shows or illustrates how the pages are organized, to get a better understanding of the components that are needed in building up the design sitemaps must be created in the early process of the design. Sitemaps are helpful for the designer and the persons the designer is working with. Sitemaps can be categorized into two; Flat sitemaps and Deep sitemaps, Flat sitemaps are basically for smaller sites, so they have few diagrams and Deep sitemaps are for sites with large number of pages and they have more than three diagrams.

User flows illustrate the steps in which a designer takes to achieve a goal, sketching helps to communicate the steps the designer takes, it goes in one direction that is from the start of the task to the completion of task. It doesn't go backwards i.e prototyping, it's required to name each flow and label the screen based on its purpose respectively. They must include a name and type of user for each flow.

Sketching User Flow a designer need to understand what to draw before creating the first sketch, must know what part of the design to start with and where to begin. Decide where one want the user to start, where you want to lead them and what they need to do to get there and know the purpose of why you are making a sketch.

Sketching Screen Flows after a designer is done with the first draft, the designer must start breaking down each page and think about the flow that will happen to it

Sketching Process there are few steps:
1. Always be prepared a designer can make use of a tablet, pencils and papers etc when sketching
2. Always understand what you want to achieve
3. Always time yourself
4. Create a frame for your design, and always document your sketches
